Thermals provides insights into your device's thermal condition, active processor count, and uptime, as reported by iOS.

Thermals assists in diagnosing:

• Poor performance — iOS may adjust processor speed or disable processors temporarily in response to overheating.
• Slow charging — iOS can limit charging speed to prevent excessive heat generation during battery charging.
• Low maximum brightness — iOS might restrict screen brightness to manage heat levels if the device remains dim even at full brightness.
• Manufacturing defects — Detection of inactive processors when the device is cool and not in low power mode.

Your device's thermal status is monitored in the background and logged within the app (when Background App Refresh is enabled). You can access the app or use the widget to manually capture a data point.

Easily export raw data for analysis with Screen Time, Xcode's Instruments, or other development tools for further examination and validation.
